On 04/06/2019 we have completed work on the project “Updating of the Conceptual Design for the Reconstruction of the Existing Waste Water Treatment Plant in Razgrad”.
The conceptual design is prepared within the agreed period and in accordance with Ordinance 4 on the scope and content of the investment projects and the design assignment and includes all necessary design parts.
The first option deals with the reconstruction and modernization of the entire WWTP of Razgrad, including mechanical treatment, biological treatment and sludge treatment.
In the present embodiment, a new building with coarse and fine gratings and a facility for removing the organics from the sand from the new sand / oil retainer are provided. The reconstruction of three corridors of the existing primary horizontal settler is also envisaged. It is necessary to reconstruct the existing bio-pool as a pre-denitrification bio-pool and regeneration area. Reconstruction of the two SCs will be carried out. Disinfection of the WWTP output is planned to be carried out with a UV installation.
The sludge treatment provides for the construction of a new sludge seal for excess primary sludge and mechanical compaction of the excess active sludge prior to the joint stabilization of the primary and excess active sludge. Aerobic stabilization is envisaged to take place in existing open decayers. After stabilization, a mechanical dewatering building is foreseen.

The second option deals with the reconstruction and modernization of the entire WWTP of the town of Razgrad, including mechanical treatment, biological treatment and sludge treatment.
In the present embodiment, a new building with coarse and fine gratings is provided, a sand flushing facility for the formed sand slurry from the new combined facility for separating sand and oil from waste water. It is also envisaged to reconstruct the existing bio-pool as a pre-denitrification bio-pool, a regeneration zone and an aerobic stabilization zone.
Reconstruction of the two Secondary Clarifiers will be carried out. Disinfection of the WWTP output is planned to be carried out with a UV installation.

The task accomplished by our designers is in line with leading international best practices and technologies.
